“Most hated” ranking
This page is dedicated to who I hate the most. Players, coaches, managers, commentators, here is a short list of NBA people I really love to hate.
1) Rick Fox (1969 – …still alive, unfortunately)
Damn, I really hate you Rick. It’s not that you played your entire career with Celtics and Lakers, which would immediatley qualify you as a jerk, to say the least. It’s not the fact that you actually won three rings, which would confirm one more time that a basketball god doesn’t exist. It’s not that you banged (we guess) and were married for quite a long time with former Miss America Vanessa Williams.
It’s that I simply hate you, because you sucked as a player just as much as you suck as an actor (?) but you always acted like you were a Hall of famer. You thought you were a tougher Scottie Pippen but you were only a nicer Mark Madsen. F’ you, Rick.
2) Gary Payton & Antoine Walker (tied)
I don’t think I have to explain why I hate those two. Well, since you are interested, I hated Payton because he has always been cocky for no reason. He entered the League stating that “players like me and Magic Johnson don’t come out every day”. The king of trash talking had a good career but was on his verge for a sad and well deserved end of it when his Lakers were destroyed by Pistons in the 2004 Finals. Those five games were one of the best shows I enjoyed in my career as a hater.
But the best was yet to come: Payton’s poor performances in the 2005 playoffs with the Celtics were something I will never forget. Indiana won the series 4-3 and he played so bad that I was almost moved to tears. Too funny.
The next year he signed with Miami and actually contributed to the first ring of the Heat. F’k that !!! And f’k him !!!!!!
The story about Fatoine Walker is similar. The only black player who couldn’t jump a newspaper (ok, I’m not considering Marc Jackson) has been an All star and has won a ring. Does someone have an explaination for that?
The “shimmy” he created is so lame that I wouldn’t even comment. I would like to remember here that “In a game against Cleveland during the 2002-3 Walker shot 0-10 from three-point range, the most 3-point attempts by a player in one game without a successful conversion.”, trying to forget that “in the 2002 first round playoff series against Philadelphia, Walker knocked down six three point field goals in the second quarter alone, the most ever in one quarter of a playoff game”.
F’k you, Fatoine.
3) Kobe Bryant
The fake-smile, thug-wannabe, diamond-buying cheater is so arrogant and stupid that he doesn’t even deserve to be at the top of this list. The best punishment for his ego will be reading this list and watch himself behind those three bums. F’k him.

Wow! Your wording shock the world dude! just by reading how your organizing joke, almost give me a stomach ache.

how does your stomach feel today, Koang? next time before logging in to Sixers4guidos lay off the burgers (and go back learning grammar) 🙂

Kobe should be # 1, Webber # 2.
I totally disagree with you grouping Payton/Walker together, one is a HOF player, the other is a bum. Granted, Payton has overstayed his welcome, but I would not have picked another PG for the 1990’s.

Zeke, thanks for leaving a comment on S4G
Maybe there was a little misunderstanding, the rank is not about players’ value but about the hatred they inspire me, and I can assure Payton and Walker are tied in that !!!!!

Ok. I get it.
I would like to nominate the entire 2002 Celtic team that hit a million lucky 3’s on a dangerous Sixer team.
Ricky - Sixers4guidos said
Not bad. How about nominate the entire Celtics franchise, while we are at it ???

I nominate Bob Salmi. Sometimes I am not sure if I am watching a basketball game or the 2nd round of a golf tournament. He is HORRIBLE !
Comcast should be embarrassed. They were obviously scared that Steve Mix was going to be too negative for a young, struggling Sixer team, but they could of replaced him with someone that actually had a personality or sense of humor. I love how Salmi constantly sticks up for the Ref’s even while the replaying is clearing showing it was a bad call.
I have a positive attitude about this Sixer team, but I am sick of the announcers consistently towing the company line and trying to spin every bad game/play into a positive. It is a direct insult to the intelligence of the fans. Ex: “Iggy may be 3-15, but LOOK at his 8 rebounds.” “Jason Smith might have missed those two lay-ups, but what a display of HUSTLE!”
I really like Jason Smith, but Zumoff’s man-crush is embarassing.

Stumbled upon your “Hater” page and found it amusing, yet disturbing that anyone would dedicate a page to hating people that they most likely never met or had the priviledge to be in their company. One thing we can all agree on, it that most men are arrogant and praise themselves. As far as Kobe being a cheater, what man doesn’t cheat or think about cheating… I’m sure that if you had a wife or girl, you’ve cheated or thought about it… that’s if you’re capable of having a relationship with a woman. The bottomline is you will probably never have a championship ring, have a job that pays you 7+ figures that you enjoy, be able to buy a $4M ring or have random ass thrown at you 24/7 from the all ove the world…so don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Blake thanks for coming here at Sixers4guidos !
it’s impossible for me to hate the game, I like NBA basketball too much
as for the hating thing, it’s just a joke of course, maybe your concept of “hatred” is more serious than mine. I could have named this page “Most disliked” but it didn’t sound as strong 🙂
peace, come back to talk hoops (seriously) when you want !!

Great page man, and great list. I find your rationale for hating quite justified. Keep up the good work, I’ll be checking back.

Yeah RON ARTEST JOINS LA!!! LAKERS MAY WIN THE NEXT CHAMPIONSHIP 😀 IT COULD BE LIKE 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS IN A ROW, WHO KNOWS, LIKE ON KOBE & SHAQ TIMES 😀
Anyways there are a lot of good teams, and I should say it… the Cavaliers are creating a Monster Team too.. it will be hard, but I trust on kobe and the rest of the Lakers. Man, stop being a hater, don’t hate Kobe because he’s an NBA Star :D, dont hate the player, hate the game.
GO LAKERS!

“don’t hate the player, hate the game”
It’s the opposite for me… “don’t hate the game, hate the player”
Ricky, I agree 100% with your hate list. Me and my brother
used to watch Peyton and we nicknamed him peanut head. Antoine???
what a knucklehead; now he has warrants out for his arrest. Not smart
enough to play b’ball, not smart enough to handle life.
All four of them are obnoxiously arrogant, but only Gary and Kobe have
any game.
As for the Lakers… at least when you get sick of watching the lousy
basketball that Philly has been playing, you can watch a decent team
play. I could never say the same thing about Boston though. I’ll always
root for that team to lose, no matter what.

This is a pretty good list; what happened to Lebron James, Michael Jordon. These are today’s yesterdays most arrogant players, talented yes…superstars…no doubt, however there is something to be said about talents such as Julius Erving, Magic Johnson , Kevin Durant, Kareem….. These players excel has basketball players and diplomats; they are superstars but their personalities do not offend the average person like myself and billions of others.
These new generation of stars watch to many hip hop videos, their egos are easily compromised, they try to project this ” I am a cool James Bond type of Ganster…and I also play pro sports” type of persona.
Great piece, get this site poppin again.
